HONG KONG - FROM PAST TO FUTURE VIA PRESENT

HONG KONG - FROM PAST TO FUTURE VIA PRESENT

They say that what's to come is based on the historical backdrop of a spot. In any event, when I visit the urban areas that seem as though having a place with the future, I attempt and see the roots that they are based on. A mailer from Hong Kong Tourism made me think about the potential things that I would need to find in the city-express that is known for its high rises, its amusement parks and for being the monetary center point of Asia. I began finding out about the city and here is what I might want to see there.

Walled Villages of Hong Kong

Similar as our Pol region in Ahmedabad or Narrow paths of Chandni Chowk in Delhi, Hong Kong has its walled towns. Over 1000 years back these towns were walled regions where tribes like Tang family resided. A town would have houses close to one another encompassing a yard like an open region. The external limits will be ensured by a tall divider. This divider would, thus, be encircled by a canal, similar to the ones we see around strongholds. Dividers and channels were intended to forestall both the privateers and the other opponent clans. When the British assumed control over this area, they exploded a portion of these dividers. A portion of the Britishers took extravagant to the town entryways and delivered them to their home, yet just to return them later.

Kat Hing Wai is the most well known of these towns, every last bit of it spread in simple 100 X 90 meters' region. In any case, there are a lot more towns to investigate. I so anticipate strolling around these tall dividers with captivating entryways. I need to travel once again into the past and perceive how individuals lived as tribes.
